With more than a decade of hair styling under her belt, you could definitely say that Meredith-Gray is quite the expert! She’s been a stylist since 2004, and will be celebrating her 12th year in the industry this year. Hair was the perfect career for her, since she enjoys hands-on, creative work that provides variety in her day-to-day life. It’s incredibly rewarding when Meredith-Gray has the opportunity to help a client feel good about themselves.
After moving across the country from North Carolina in 2012, Meredith-Gray found Pinup Salon. It was the perfect fit, since she wanted to work in a flexible, personal salon. Pinup Salon is still the best place for her to practice her skills, according to Meredith-Gray, because she prefers this kind of intimate work environment where she can spend plenty of one-on-one time with her clients. She is very detail-oriented and doesn’t like rushing, so smaller is better for her. Meredith-Gray has a holistic, honest, straight-forward approach to hair and likes collaborating with clients on what will work for them in their everyday life.
As far as specializations go, Meredith-Gray does fabulous things with fine hair. She can also tackle Rainbow Hair, balayage, curls, and creative cuts/color with unmatched expertise and gorgeous results! Her education includes training from Redken, Tigi, Toni & Guy, Deva Curl, Pravana, Guy Tang, and Rebecca Taylor, just to name a few. Meredith-Gray love, love, LOVES doing Rainbow colors, working with fine hair, doing precision and creative color & cuts, and treating with corrective services.
Looking at her future in this career, she wants to expand her knowledge and expertise of Vintage Styling and Rainbow Hair — each offers an endless rabbit-hole of exploration and fun!
