“I’ve tried lots of stylists, and I can’t see changing away from the girls at Pinup. They’re cool without seeming pretentious, they know their stuff, and most importantly, I always feel (and look) way better once we’ve finished. The shop is relatively small, but it’s easy to get in and out of (meaning it’s easy to park there), and it’s very close to both the waterfront at Alki and the West Seattle bridge. I definitely recommend you try it out for yourself.”

I love how she not only listens to exactly what I have to say, but she actually understands the questions and concerns I have with my finicky straight hair. She even spends a fair amount of time (in between our great chat sessions) teaching me how to style my hair and even how gain a new appreciation for what my mane can, and can’t, do. “I recently got the Keratin Treatment and I love it. I wanted a professional sleek look and that’s exactly what I got. My hair is softer, silkier and shinier than it has ever been and it is incredibly easy to take care of. I basically roll out of bed and it looks like I just got my hair done. Whether it is up, back or down, it looks well put together. The time I am saving on hair styling is realy valuable to me as well! Jen’s salon is a fantastic atmosphere with cool music and funky decor and the intimacy of the place makes you feel as if you have your own personal stylist. If you are looking for a different look, the keratin treatment really is an awesome way to go.”

“If you are looking for talented stylist, look no further than Elizebeth at the Pinup Salon in Ravenna. She is quite experienced, and I am very happy with my cut, and dual process color. I found the whole experience quite relaxing and it’s a nice way to spend a couple of hours. The cost is quite reasonable for a stylist of her experience. She treated me like a princess, and made me look like one too! I’m going back! The salon is very pretty inside as well.”
