Cat Eyes For Dummies

Cat Eyes For Dummies

Hi readers! Jane and Mollie here to show you how to do a simple day to night eye makeup transition!
For this look all we used was the Teddy Bear eyeshadow palette by Clinique and M.A.C fluidline eyeliner in black track.
From left to right, in the first photo Mollie just put concealer over her eye lid to create a smooth surface for the shadow to stick to and to insure that the shadow and liner won’t smudge or move throughout the day. Next Jane started the lightest shadow placing it on the inside of the lid moving outwards, then using the 2nd lightest shade on the outer corner of the lid and through the crease to create a subtle contour for the eye. In the last frame Jane applies a thin line of the fluid line eyeliner, starting from the middle of the lid outward, then add your mascara!
In the first two photos you can see the daytime look! Very simple makeup to start with for the day, but you can easily glam it up a bit with a cat-eye look for evening! Start by creating a triangle for the wing and fill it in from there. A good point to aim for is the end of your brows, start with a line down from where you want the tip of the wing to be to the existing liner, then start from the tip of the wing again and work your way down towards the bottom center of the eyelid, and fill in your liner from there!
If you want to add a little more drama from here go back over the crease with a darker shadow to create a bolder contour.
And there you have it! The before and after of a quick and simple cat eye look!
